The Suzuki families have their own private housekeeping cottage. These cottages have a fully equipped kitchen complete with pots and pans, and parents will prepare their own meals. Parents/Guardians can also take music lessons for an additional fee. The families may bring their children not taking music lessons. Huckleberry Music Camp will provide a barbecue on the opening night of the camp.
1) Private or Semi-private Classes
All students receive instructions with an assigned Suzuki teacher.
2) Group Classes
Group classes are an integral part of the Suzuki method. It contributes greatly to
student motivation. They learn from other students and it is a joy for them to play
with their peers. It is a fun time filled with musical games, rudimental
theory and socialization.
3) String Orchestra
Suzuki students at the appropriate level will be involved in an orchestral program.
The repertoire ranges from the Baroque to Contemporary period.
4) Technique Classes
Technique class emphasizes scales, left-hand and bowing technique.
5) Reading and Fiddle Classes
Enhance sight reading skills in a group for advanced students.
6) Piano Accompaniment
Students who are performing solo works will be given the
opportunity to rehearse with an accompanist.
